Cary History Society was established in 2017 with the aim of encouraging interest in the study of the history of Castle Cary and the surrounding area. It runs a programme of lectures, visits and other events.
Cary History Society works in close collaboration with the Castle Cary and District Museum and helps develop its collection.
The Society is also concerned with the preservation of historic buildings and conservation areas.
We do not have a formal membership structure or ask for a subscription. However, we do keep an email list which we use to inform those interested about our events and projects. If you would like to be on this list please send an email to caryhistsoc@gmail.com
